Soil Spectral Databases

چکیده

This paper identifies and discusses two trends in the digitalization of soil research data: (1) creation maintenance databases containing reflectance spectra upper horizons range 300–2500 nm information on main physicochemical properties these horizons; (2) accumulation actualization already published visible (400–750 nm) incorporation data all constituting profile into spectral databases, which makes it possible to identify both individual entire profiles. The second trend widely uses color parameters soils; this applies international optical systems Russian-specific indicatory systems. algorithms used such can be applied studies involving open-access global libraries.

SOIL SPECTRAL PROPERTIES OF ARID REGION, KASHAN AREA, IRAN

This study determined some spectral characteristics and relationship between Landsat spectral reflectance and soil surface color in the arid region of Iran (Kashan). The study carried out in the kashan area that covers 90000 ha. Consisting of mountain, hills and flood plain. Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM+) data collected on July 2002 were used for this research. The color composite images produ...

Protein Databases

Proteins are sources of many peptides with diverse biological activity. Some of them are considered as valuable components of foods and drug targets with desired and designed biological activity. We are now entering an era rich in biological data in which the field of bioinformatics is poised to exploit this information in increasingly powerful ways. There are currently many databases all over ...

Modeling Spectral and Bidirectional Soil Reflectance

SOILSPECT is a radiative transfer model, derived from Hapke's model, that represents the optical properties of soil from 450 nm to 2450 nm. The spectral and bidirectional reflectance of 26 soils was measured in the laboratory both with a field spectroradiometer (1000 narrow wavebands from 450 nm to 2450 nm) and a radiometer simulating TM channels (the five TM2, TM3, TM4, TM5, and TM7 broad band...

Spectral Measurement of Common Soil Phosphates

Compounds of Al, Fe, Ca, and Mg phosphates were particularly found in the Lake Okeechobee drainage basin in Florida. Identification of the spectral characteristics of these compounds would improve sensing of phosphorus (P) concentration in soil samples. This study investigated the effects of common soil P compounds on reflectance spectra of sandy soils using ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS), and...

Soil databases and the problem of establishing regional biogeochemical trends

Regional and global environmental modeling depend on soil data for input layers or parameterization. However, randomly located observations, such as provided by agricultural databases, are not always representative of trends identified in field studies conducted under carefully controlled conditions. Many researchers lament the paucity of soil profile data in Amazônia, and suggest that given mo...
